Everything the Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation (DBPT) does is geared toward improving the safety of North Carolina’s millions of bicyclists and pedestrians. As a part of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), this Division works closely with other staff within NCDOT to integrate consideration of bicyclists’ and pedestrians’ needs into all facets of planning and programming.
